Description du poste

IPVF – Perovskite Panel Performance Engineer (M/F)
25/08/2026

Position: Perovskite Panel Performance Engineer (M/F)

Duration: 18 months

Ref. IPVF: PR-CP-4-S

IPVF – Photovoltaic Institute of Île-de-France

The Île-de-France Photovoltaic Institute (IPVF), an institute for energy transition, is a scientific and technical hub dedicated to the research and development of solar technologies . Located at its Paris-Saclay site, it brings together its own staff, employees of its partners, and those of external companies. The IPVF aims to become one of the world's leading centers for research, innovation, and training in the field of energy transition.

The IPVF's primary objective is to improve the performance and competitiveness of photovoltaic cells and to develop disruptive technologies by focusing on four key areas:

  • An ambitious research program;
  • The reception, on its Paris-Saclay site, of more than 200 researchers and their laboratories;
  • A cutting-edge technological platform (8 m²) open to players in the photovoltaic sector, and bringing together more than 000 cutting-edge equipment located in clean rooms.
  • A training program mainly based on a master's degree, supervision of doctoral students, and continuing education.
JOB CONTEXT

Within the framework of the ICARE program, we wish to strengthen our team to accelerate the evaluation activities of photovoltaic panels, given the additional projects entrusted to the IPVF. The tests and characterizations cover both analyses under controlled laboratory conditions and under real-world outdoor conditions.

What we can offer:

The new employee will work in a multidisciplinary environment within a dynamic team at IPVF and will be able to make use of their technical analysis and communication skills.

MAIN MISSIONS

The mission involves participating in the reliability testing activities for perovskite-based photovoltaic devices conducted within the IPVF, by contributing to the installation and monitoring of outdoor test infrastructure. Measurements on structures subjected to controlled stress factors under real-world outdoor and laboratory conditions are also anticipated.

  • Develop the outdoor platform and carry out performance measurements of devices and demonstrators.
  • Improve analytical tools and measurement instrumentation for automated analysis.
  • Adapt reliability testing protocols to address the specific issues of the devices being tested.
  • Carry out various laboratory measurements on perovskite-based solar devices, under various temperature, humidity and irradiance conditions.
  • Perform electrical and optical characterizations.
  • To provide the elements for the determination and analysis of the correlations between the technological parameters of the manufacturing process and the performance.
  • Present the results regularly.
REQUIRED PROFILE

Knowledge: photovoltaic module technologies (ideally perovskite-based modules), optoelectronics of photovoltaic devices, device physics, industrialization.

Experience: testing on photovoltaic modules (reliability, etc.), characterization of solar cells, practical experience in the development of photovoltaic technologies, use of analytical tools.
