Job summary

Dematic in France, Île-de-France, seeks a graduate mechanical engineer with intralogistics experience to join the EMEA Case Conveyor Systems team. You will develop detailed layouts, define drives and safety devices, and coordinate with steel construction, building, and suppliers to deliver turnkey conveyor solutions.

The role requires 3–5 years of project engineering experience, strong English, teamwork, and a structured, results-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Graduate engineer with Master’s or Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years of professional experience; graduates welcome.
• Expertise in project engineering (intralogistics preferred).
• Expertise in mechanical design (materials handling preferred).
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work in a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Structured and systematic approach.
• Results-oriented mindset.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Self-management skills.
• AutoCAD knowledge.
• NX and Teamcenter knowledge.
• Navisworks knowledge.
• SAP knowledge (preferable).

Responsibilities

• Create approval layouts based on customer design freeze.
• Safety assessment of the project scope (mechanics).
• Develop detailed concepts from sales layouts for approval layout.
• Review material flow against sales layout and products transported on the conveyor system.
• Clarify interfaces with steel construction, building, etc.
• Create detailed layouts and specify drives, speeds, roller and belt design, guides.
• Plan maintenance platforms and safety devices.
• Produce BOMs for purchased components and coordinate with supplier.
• Create installation drawings and handover to installation team.
• Coordinate with supplier during FAT and CE compliance.
• Provide engineering support in customer meetings.
