Job summary

Allianz Trade in Paris seeks a motivated student intern for Asset & Investment Management. You will help analyze and steer the investment portfolio, support strategy discussions, and contribute to performance monitoring and reporting.

The role offers exposure to fixed income and equity markets within a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates are pursuing a finance-related degree, proficient with Excel/VBA and PowerBI, familiar with Python, and fluent in English (French a plus).

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance or related field from a business, engineering, or university program.
• Strong Excel/VBA and PowerBI skills; programming in Python is a plus.
• Interest in capital markets, portfolio management, and investments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly market and portfolio overview.
• Monitor portfolio performance and alignment with goals and KPIs.
• Contribute to analysis methods, tools, and reporting standards.
• Participate in external meetings to generate investment ideas.
• Assist portfolio manager with daily activities.
• Collaborate with Controlling, Treasury and Middle Office teams.

About The Role

As a member of our team you will analyze, monitor, and help steering the investment portfolio of Allianz Trade, the leading trade credit insurance company. The team is in charge of setting the investment strategy and asset management, deciding on key topics like strategic and tactical asset allocation, fund selection, and performance monitoring across asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

The trainee will have the following missions:

• Prepare weekly market and portfolio overview
• Monitor performance of the portfolio, and adequacy of strategy to financial goals and insurance investment and sustainability KPIs
• Further enhance analysis methods, tools and reporting standards
• Participate in external meetings to generate investment ideas
• Assist portfolio manager on daily activities
• Collaborate with other department units (Controlling, Treasury, Middle Office)

Profile/ Required Skills

• Business school or engineering school or university with degree in Finance
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel/VBA and PowerBI)
• Knowledge in Python
• Interest in capital markets, portfolio management, and investments
• Financial analysis and economics knowledge
• Knowledge of Fixed Income markets would be a plus
• Fluent in English, French is a plus
