OUR LAW FIRM Freshfields is an Anglo-Saxon business law firm established in Paris for more than 50 years. It is one of the worlds most prestigious law firms. With more than 130 lawyers in France, the firm offers a first-class range of services, which includes the essential practices of business law, both in Paris and Internationally. Its presence in all developed and emerging countries enables it to assist its clients, whether they be large companies or governments, in their most strategic transactions or disputes.
We are accepting applications for internships in the Paris office for a duration of six months starting in January 2028. We welcome applications from outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate students in law, as well as those who have already graduated. English is the only language of which mastery is a prerequisite, although fluency in other languages, especially Arabic, French, German, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian or Spanish, would be an advantage.
An internship in Freshfields’ International Arbitration Group would expose you to a wide range of cross border work, including some of the most complex and interesting international disputes currently subject to arbitration. With most of our current lawyers having started their careers as interns in our practice, the Freshfields internship is our preferred method of recruiting junior associates within our team.
Are you looking for a formative experience in a demanding international environment?
Non-EU residents are required to have a valid work permit allowing them to work in France (long-stay student visa and/or carte de séjour) for the length of their internship. In exceptional circumstances and on a case‑by‑case basis only, we will consider applicants who do not fulfil this requirement.
Freshfields The Firm undertakes to take the appropriate measures to ensure the protection and confidentiality of the personal information it holds or processes in compliance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation.
#Inclusivelawfirm: we recruit on the basis of skills, regardless of origin, age, sexual orientation or gender, and all our positions are open to people with disabilities.
