CMA CGM Group in Marseille offers an internship in the Group Finance Department. You will join the Financing Department to assist with structuring, financing activities and financial analysis in a global logistics group.

You will work with banks, investment funds and international export credit agencies, contributing to the Group’s financial roadmap in a highly dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bac+5 Master’s in a leading Business or Engineering School, with a specialization in Corporate Finance.
• Initial experience in banking, consulting, audit/advisory or corporate finance is a plus.
• Strong financial knowledge with emphasis on modeling and analysis.

Responsabilités

• Analyze and support the structuring of financing transactions, including financial modeling and profitability analysis.
• Prepare financial communication materials for governance and external partners, including bank profiles and results presentations.
• Monitor the execution of financing agreements and drawdowns related to financed assets.
• Support monitoring of the existing financing portfolio with Middle Office teams.
• Conduct market intelligence on banking trends, new financing structures and comparable transactions.
• Develop and implement the Department’s tools and cross-functional projects.
• Interact with banks, investment funds, Export Credit Agencies and subsidiaries’ CFOs.

YOUR ROLE

Within the Group Finance Department, you will join the Financing Department, which is responsible for arranging, structuring and negotiating all of the Group’s bank financing activities in France and internationally, including:

• Financing of the Group’s strategic assets, including vessels, containers and aircraft
• Structured financing for port terminals
• Corporate financing (RCF, acquisitions) and securitization programs

As part of a team of six, you will work across a variety of financing topics and contribute to the Group’s financial roadmap. This internship offers a high-value experience in a demanding and stimulating environment, with strong opportunities for professional development.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TODO ?

• You will analyze and support the structuring of financing transactions, including financial modeling, profitability analysis, internal memos and financing proposals
• You will contribute to the preparation of financial communication materials for Group governance and external partners, including bank profiles and financial results presentations
• You will monitor the execution of financing agreements, including drawdowns related to the delivery of financed assets and their financial impacts
• You will contribute to monitoring the existing financing portfolio in coordination with the Middle Office teams
• You will conduct market intelligence on banking trends, new financing structures and comparable transactions
• You will contribute to the development and implementation of the Department’s tools and processes, as well as cross-functional projects
• You will interact with a wide range of financial partners, including banks, investment funds and international Export Credit Agencies, as well as the Group’s operational and support functions (Legal, Tax, Treasury & Cash Management, Accounting and Controlling) and subsidiaries’ CFOs

WHO ARE WE LOOKINGFOR ?

• You are currently pursuing a Master’s degree (Bac+5) from a leading Business or Engineering School, with a specialization in Corporate Finance
• Ideally, you have gained initial experience in banking, consulting, audit/advisory or corporate finance
• You have strong financial knowledge, particularly in financial modeling and analysis
• You are proficient in Excel and comfortable working with financial data
• You are fluent in both French and English, written and spoken
• Curious, motivated and detail-oriented, you demonstrate strong analytical and synthesis skills
• You have excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset and enjoy working as part of a team
