NATO CSO in Paris is offering an internship to support the OCO Front Office and STC offices within the STO Collaboration Programme of Work. The role provides administrative and logistical assistance in a multinational, English-led environment.
The internship lasts six months with possible renewal; salary is €1,503.06 monthly, subject to taxation. You will join a dynamic international team and gain experience across events, reports and coordination tasks in a defence research context.

The mission of the NATO STO is to help position the Nations and NATO’s S&T investments as a strategic enabler of the knowledge and technical advantage for the defence and security posture of NATO Nations and partner Nations.
As described in the STO Charter, the STO Collaboration Support Office (CSO) is one of the executive bodies of the STO. Within the framework of the STO Collaborative business model, the CSO through the Scientific and Technical Committee (STC) Offices and the Modelling and Simulation Coordination Office (MSCO) provides executive and administrative support to the S&T activities conducted through the STO level 2 committees and level 3 working groups.
In the Front Office of the Operations and Coordination Office (OCO), the OCO Intern works under the supervision of the Staff Officer (OCO) to provide additional support to the STC Offices in all Assistants’ tasks pertaining to the support to the STO Collaborative Programme of Work (CPoW) and assist the OCO Front Office staff with a variety of tasks.
Performing other related functions as directed by the Staff Officer (OCO) or Head, OCO.
The applicant must be eligible for a NATO Secret security clearance.
Normal office work environment. The CSO operates in an international, dynamic, multi-cultural environment. The CSO is a non-smoking workplace. Travel is by exception but could be in support of the STCs or for educational purposes.
The position is for an internship of six months with a possibility to be renewed once depending on the operational needs and post holder’s work performance.
The CSO Director will appoint the selected candidate through the signature of his/her contract. This contract will be ruled by the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations.
The basic monthly salary will be Euro 1503.06 subject to taxation.
The post holder will benefit from 2.5 days monthly leave and a work accident insurance. He/she should ensure to contract a private individual life and medical insurance.
The CSO will sponsor your VISA application for non-EU citizens.
The appointment is subject to the receipt by the CSO of a security clearance (provided by the national authorities of the incumbent).
