Transatel is seeking a motivated web integration intern to assist in creating and evolving company websites, integrating newsletters, and updating site content. You will work on WordPress pages and campaigns under the Lead Integrator within the Marketing & Support Operations team.

Ideal candidates have a Bac+2 in computer science, with front-end/back-end knowledge, hands-on CMS experience, and a strong eye for responsive design and SEO considerations.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in computer science required.
• Experience with web integration using CMS or from-scratch development.
• Solid knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with WordPress, Bootstrap, jQuery and SCSS.
• Ability to hand-code from prototypes or designs.

• Participate in the creation and evolution of Transatel's various websites


• Integrate newsletters


• Integrate web pages and content on WordPress sites


• Integrate newsletters and send campaigns using Sarbacane


• Create new web features


• Update site content


• Work under the supervision of the Lead Integrator and alongside the developer on the Marketing & Support Operations team

Requirements

• 6-month internship only, full-time


• Two-year post-secondary degree (Bac+2) in computer science or equivalent


• Ideally education from Bac to Bac+2 in computer science


• First experience gained during an internship or work-study placement on a role or project related to the creation or maintenance of websites


• Curiosity about new web technologies


• Knowledge of front-end and back-end development


• Experience with web integration using CMS or from-scratch development


• Understanding of Responsive Web Design considerations


• Good knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3


• Skills in Responsive Web Design integration


• Knowledge of WordPress, Bootstrap, jQuery and SCSS


• Ability to work from prototypes or designs created with Adobe XD or Figma


• Ability to code without a GUI (hand-coding)


• Knowledge of PHP, NextJS or ReactJS is a plus


• Knowledge of natural SEO
