Allianz Global Investors in Paris offers a six-month placement starting March 2027 for a motivated candidate in corporate finance and private debt analysis. You will participate in investment analysis, due diligence, and memoranda preparation for the Investment Committee, while supporting portfolio monitoring and reporting.

The role requires strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, fluent French and English, and a proactive, analytical approach in an international team setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Master’s degree in corporate finance from a business or engineering school or university.
• Good expertise of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Previous experience in corporate finance (private equity, investment banking, structured finance, etc.) is appreciated.
• Fluent in French and English and ability to work in an international setup.
• Strong analytical approach and attention to detail.

• Prepare investment memoranda for the Investment Committee.
• Monitor existing investments through financial analysis and management meetings; prepare investment reports.

About the Job

This role is based in Paris. This will be a 6-month placement and the start date will be March 2027.

What you do

• Analyze investment opportunities through meetings with management, financial statement analysis, market studies, due diligence analysis, LBO and corporate transaction modelling, and scenario analysis
• Prepare investment memoranda for the Investment Committee
• Monitor existing investments through financial analysis and meetings with management, and prepare investment reports
• Keep informed of key developments in the European private debt market, impact private credit investing, blended finance and emerging markets space
• Assist in the preparation of marketing materials.

What you bring

• Pursuing or holding a Master’s degree from a business or engineering school or university with a specialization in corporate finance
• Good expertise of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Previous experience in corporate finance (private equity, investment banking, structured finance, transaction services, etc.) is appreciated
• Fluent in French and English and ability to work in an international setup
• A strong analytical approach
• Proactive and positive attitude, with capacity to work under pressure
• Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
• A focus on attention to detail with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
