Job Title (Job Code): Interiors Product Manager
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Define with the Product Director, manage and develop the Products Roadmap for the segment in responsibility.
- Ensure that all Interiors Products in responsibility are available for sale and delivery (FFT), as per the roadmap, within agreed performance, technical risk and cost that continually support the required growth, profitability and quality objectives of the Company.
- Manage the cost/ weight efficiency, recyclability and performances of the products in his segment (per the roadmap)
- Lead and coordinate the development activities (product/process/industrialization, costing…) involving the teams on sites (CDS) coordination to support the product roadmap.
- Contribute to the ref sols optimization of the segment in responsibility.
- In pre-tendering phase, confirm the Product Solution in cooperation with the CDS Technical and Tender teams, support the tender, and participate to the tender validation.
- Support the projects execution with Technical Products & Building Blocks orientation to TDS, CDS and A&CD from M1 to M3 level
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Ensure a close link with the RS Platform, TDO, A&CD, Indus & Passenger Experience to deploy the product portfolio strategy and products definition & targets for the Platform in responsibility
- Coordinate the products roadmap in line with the defined Technical Product Director and RS PLT targets for the products in responsibility on every aspect (performances, competitiveness, engineering BCC, procurement and manufacturing BCC)
- Ensure the competitiveness of product portfolio in terms of technology, Key Value Parameters and costs
- Observe the market and the competition to identify portfolio/technology gaps and derive the right actions
- Confirm the product definition for every tender and application including the product variability and gaps until the tender validation
- Support Project to keep the product strategy accordingly to tender definition in the starting phase (M1 to M3)
- Manage, coordinate and maintain the collaboration within the teams involved in Components Development Sites and Component Sites (engineering, industrial, procurement, tender and costing)
- Manage and ensure that all product documentation and definition is up to date. Products development lead to FFT
MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Educational Requirements:
- Master of engineering or equivalent from Educational degree, completed with experience
- Business fluent in English language
Experience:
- Experience in Project and/or Engineering > 5 years
- Strong knowledge and experience in Interiors
- Specific knowledge in architectural design, design to manufacturing, and design to cost
- Strong knowledge on Interiors fitting, train layout and manufacturing processes
- Global understanding of overall internal processes (Tenders, Projects, Engineering, Industrial, Supplier)
- Knowledge on Market Trends
- Expertise on Quality (validation, characterisation)
