Location - Île-de-France, site-based on a data centre campus outside Paris
Contract - Permanent or long-term contract (to confirm)
About the role
We are hiring an Integration Project Manager to bring together the electrical, mechanical, controls and IT systems on a major data centre build outside Paris. You will make sure every package works as one facility, from design coordination through to integrated systems testing and handover to operations.
You will sit between the client, the general contractor and specialist subcontractors. Your job is to spot interface risks early, keep the schedule on track and deliver a live, fully commissioned data hall on time.
Key responsibilities
- Own the integration plan across MEP, power (MV/LV, UPS, generators), cooling, BMS/EPMS, fire and security, and IT/network packages.
- Run interface management: maintain the interface register, chair coordination meetings and close out clashes and gaps between packages.
- Build and track the integrated schedule, including critical-path milestones for energisation, cooling and data hall readiness.
- Lead the commissioning plan with the Commissioning Manager, from Level 1 factory testing through to Level 5 integrated systems testing (IST).
- Coordinate design reviews, RFIs, technical submittals and change requests with designers and contractors.
- Manage integration risks and issues, with clear mitigations, owners and escalation routes.
- Track cost and scope impacts of integration changes and support commercial discussions.
- Ensure handover is complete: O&M manuals, as-builts, training and a smooth transfer to the operations team.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture on site, in line with French regulations and client standards.
- Report weekly progress, risks and KPIs to the client and senior stakeholders.
- 5+ years in project management on mission-critical builds, with at least 2 years on data centre projects.
- Proven delivery of systems integration across electrical, mechanical and controls packages.
- Solid understanding of data centre infrastructure: Tier III/IV design, redundancy (N+1, 2N), UPS, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units and BMS.
- Hands-on experience of commissioning phases, including IST.
- Strong scheduling skills using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Degree in electrical, mechanical or building services engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Fluent English; able to lead meetings and write reports for international clients.
- Confident stakeholder manager who can hold contractors to account.
- Experience on hyperscale programmes (20 MW+) or multi-phase campus builds.
- PMP, PRINCE2 or APM qualification.
- Knowledge of Uptime Institute, TIA-942 or EN 50600 standards.
- Exposure to liquid cooling or high-density AI workloads.
- Experience with commissioning and document platforms such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud or Aconex.
