Northwest Yeshiva High School is seeking a Per Diem Substitute High School teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The role is to foster a love for learning and make learning accessible for all students, teaching General Education and Judaic Studies in small classes.

The position emphasizes classroom management, collaboration with students, parents, and staff, and upholding school philosophy and policies within the Mercer Island community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in secondary education or a related field.
• Experience in education, preferably at the secondary level.
• Teaching certification preferred.
• Ability to foster engaging learning and support diverse learners.

Responsabilités

• Provide per diem teaching following lesson plans.
• Manage classroom routines to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff.
• Uphold NYHS policies and school community representation.
