About the Role

Depending on the levels of shipment and inspection, the inspector is responsible for performing workshop activities at the supplier and key subcontractors' facilities on behalf of or for Technip Energies, verifying the conformity of the supply against contractual requirements in terms of delivery date and manufacturing quality.

He/she reports operationally to the project Quality Control Coordinator (QCS) and may directly supervise expeditors/inspectors or third-party agencies.

Main internal and external interactions involve suppliers, third-party agencies, notified bodies, clients, purchasing (including QCS), engineering, and quality.

Roles and Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):
  • Receive notices of intent and confirm attendance
  • Participate in or organize a pre-inspection meeting and publish a dedicated meeting minutes
  • Confirm the workshop visit plan based on the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) prepared by engineering and propose an alternative plan if necessary
  • Be responsible for ensuring all necessary inspection documents are received and deemed adequate for the purpose in a timely manner
  • Perform witness/hold inspections and monitor quality control activities in accordance with applicable codes and specifications
  • Verify manufacturer inspections and tests by examining records and certificates
  • Approve QC surveillance activities by signing the Final Quality Control Plan (FQCP) at each phase completion
  • Check and comment on the overall manufacturing schedule
  • Monitor and ensure proper execution of the supply until the contractual delivery date, verifying progress physically at the supplier or main subcontractors premises
  • Timely transmit all necessary documents and information to the agency inspector, if applicable
  • Issue shipment and inspection reports, release notes, punch lists, and non-conformance reports (NCR)
  • Provide support and timely information to the transportation coordinator, continuing to monitor the procurement process until the material is prepared for shipment
  • Highlight critical paths/events that could cause delivery delays, requesting corrective actions from the supplier and following up on their implementation
  • Verify the completion of corrective actions in accordance with the approved non-conformance elimination plan
  • Verify ongoing compilation and completeness of the Manufacturing Data Register (MDRB) by signing off
  • Sign IRN (hard copy) at the suppliers workshop when attending the final inspection at the suppliers site
  • Closely follow the perforation list status until all points are closed
  • Contribute to the evaluation of supplier and agency performance
  • Highlight all SHES (Safety, Health, Environment, and Security) issues during supplier workshops
About You
  • High school diploma with extensive experience or a Bachelor's degree in mechanical/rotating/electrical/instrumentation engineering
  • 5 years of experience in workshop quality control activities
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for electrical equipment or oil and gas equipment suppliers
  • Solid understanding of standards related to your specialty
  • Ability to anticipate and coordinate activities under pressure
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Operational level of English
  • High mobility and leadership attitude (e.g., formalizing feedback for method improvement)
