Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a materials scientist to design innovativePVC-based materials by linking structure, processing, and properties and to prototype matrices at lab scale with scale-up support.

You will drive extrusion, coating, and calendering efforts while coordinating with process teams to optimize equipment and parameters. Collaboration with labs and partners will strengthen IP and R&D outputs.

Qualifications

• Master’s in materials science or related field; 2+ years post-degree OR Bachelor with 5+ years in PVC formulation/processing.
• Experience with extrusion, coating, and calendering for membranes or coated fabrics.
• Fluent English (B2) and French (B2).

Responsibilities

• Design and characterize innovative materials by linking structure-property relationships and processing interactions.
• Formulate and prototype PVC matrices at lab scale and support scale-up.
• Recommend equipment upgrades or process parameter adjustments with process teams.
• Ensure monitoring, knowledge capture and IP strategy alignment.
• Manage external collaborations with research labs and industrial partners to strengthen R&D.
