Industrial Carbon Footprint Manager (M/F)

A vacancy for an “Industrial Carbon Footprint Manager (M/F)” has arisen within Airbus Facility Management Real Estate (FMRE) in Toulouse, France. You would join the FMRE Sustainability Center of Excellence as described below.

Your working environment:

Airbus has received approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its greenhouse gas emission reduction targets between now and the next 5-10 years. These targets are based on climate science and cover the full set of its emissions: Scope 1, 2 and 3. In response to this new challenge, the FMRE organisation is establishing a Centre of Excellence (CoE) focused on ensuring these targets are met across all major global facilities (FMRE scope, China, US/Canada, Aerostructures, Atlantic etc.). The CoE is comprised of sustainability specialists, focused on the global view of Decarbonisation (with a focus on Scope 1 & 2 for industrial, office and infrastructure perimeter), Water, Waste & Green Building/Infrastructure improvements.

Your challenges:
  • Contribute to the group wide energy decarbonisation roadmap and strategy of the 3 divisions as part of Airbus’ integrated group-wide Facility Management & Real Estate function (“FMRE”), in order to achieve Airbus Sustainability operational and strategic objectives.
  • Responsible for establishing and managing the FMRE energy decarbonisation roadmap for the perimeter of AIRBUS covering the 3 divisions of Airbus and all the sites in Europe (France, Germany, UK, Spain).
  • Being the prime interface of the divisions Sustainability / Environmental departments.
  • Being the valued technical guide and advisor of the sites local project leaders or energy managers.
  • Evaluating and monitoring projects related to sustainability, energy management, energy decarbonisation.
  • Ensure that the project objectives are met in line with FMRE scope of activities and top company objectives.
Your Boarding Pass:
  • Academic Background in Energy / Sustainability or Engineering.
  • Proven professional experience in Energy / Sustainability.
  • Knowledge of the global and local energy markets and associated regulations.
  • Proven experience in internal Stakeholder Management in an international context.
  • Good negotiation and collaboration skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and mindset.
  • Experience in Project Management would be a plus.
  • Excellent English skills oral and written.
  • French or German or Spanish would be a plus.
