IXO Record is seeking bilingual speech recorders to capture conversations and scripts in your native Indian language and in English, reviewing transcripts for accuracy.

This remote, asynchronous engagement requires native fluency in an Indian language and full professional English, a quiet recording space, a clear microphone, and availability of at least ten hours per week; pay ranges from $35 to $45 per hour. Outputs include bilingual recordings, corrected transcripts, and noted mismatches.

Your work at IXO Record bilingual speech and review its transcripts for IXO, preserving the way people naturally move between an Indian language and English. The work includes scripted material, conversation and careful comparison of audio with text.

Responsibilities

• Record prompted and conversational speech in your native Indian language and in English.
• Create natural code-switched examples without forcing a pattern that you would not normally use.
• Correct transcript errors while keeping the speaker's actual meaning and wording clear.
• Identify clips whose transcript is plausible but does not match the recording.
• Follow the assigned recording and annotation specifications and document uncertain passages.

Required experience and preparation

You need native fluency in an Indian language and full professional English. Relevant languages include Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi and Gujarati. A quiet recording space and a microphone capable of clear audio are required. You should be comfortable recording your own voice, following detailed prompts and noticing small transcription errors. Availability of at least ten hours per week is required.

Preferred experience

Voice-over, podcasting, audio production, transcription or annotation experience is useful. Native-level fluency in more than one Indian language is an additional advantage.

Deliverables and engagement

Outputs include bilingual and code-switched recordings, corrected transcripts and identified audio/text mismatches. The work is remote and asynchronous; individual working times and the engagement scope will be agreed in advance.

Pay is $35 • $45/hr in USD. IXO will agree the scope, deliverables and schedule before work begins.
