Overview
Alaya.bio is a preclinical-stage biotech company pioneering a new generation of polymeric nanoparticles applied to the rapid and universal in situ manufacturing of CAR T-cells. The position is located in Paris area.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan and execute in vitro assays on primary cells for the characterization of the gene delivery efficiency of polymeric nanoparticles, in close collaboration with our Cell Biology Senior Scientist.
- Perform multiparametric flow cytometry analyses for in vitro and in vivo studies.
- Perform a variety of cellular assays & molecular assays (e.g. multiplex cytokine assays, cytotoxicity assays, ELISA, qPCR, preparation/purification of DNA and RNA).
- Culture human primary cells and cell lines (adherent and in suspension) for transient and stable transgene expression studies.
- Process and analyze animal blood and tissue samples (single cell suspension preparation from organs, plasma preparation, multiplex cytokine and enzyme assays, nucleic acid extraction and qPCR).
- Collect, analyze and report data using appropriate software including electronic lab notebook.
- Support day-to-day laboratory operations, including reagents and consumables purchasing, maintenance of equipment, management of biological, infectious & care activity wastes.
- Compliance with regulatory standards and H&S rules in place in the company.
- Writing of technical documents including SOPs, experimental protocols and study reports.
Your Profile
- MSc in Immunology & Cellular Biology or related field; PhD is a plus.
- Hands-on expertise in PBMCs isolation, bead-based enrichment, culture of primary cells and cellular assays.
- Strong expertise in multiparametric flow cytometry.
- Experience in ex vivo CAR T generation (including large-scale processes) and characterization is a plus.
- Experience with animal studies is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize work on multiple projects.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential, given the international exposure of the company.
- Good command of IT and data analysis tools (FlowJo, GraphPad Prism).
