The European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines and HealthCare (EDQM) invites applications for a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer. The role focuses on maintaining safe work environments, compliance with ICPE requirements, risk analyses, and supporting internal audits.

You will join the HSE team within the General Services Section, collaborate across EDQM units, train staff, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring French fluency and good English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in HSE within chemical, pharmaceutical or public sector.
• Strong knowledge of French; good command of English.
• Experience with safety risk assessment and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001/ISO 45001 standards and auditing.

Responsabilités

• Schedule and follow up on mandatory safety tests and keep records up to date.
• Maintain ICPE file and ensure compliance with related requirements.
• Write and update prevention and safety protocols.
• Contribute to DUERP risk analysis and implement preventive actions.
• Coordinate measurement of exposure limits (VLEP).
• Oversee contamination testing, cleanrooms, and protective equipment.
• Ensure availability of PPE and supervise waste management.
• Train staff in HSE topics and participate in audits.
• Drive continuous improvement within the HSE team.
