Scaleway is looking for a senior HR Business Partner to act as the reference HR partner for managers, providing autonomous support on operational and complex matters while contributing to strategic People initiatives. You will work in an international environment and partner with technical teams on growth and transformation projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an HRBP in a Tech/Engineering environment.
• Strong command of French employment law; able to independently manage complex disciplinary, legal, and employee-relations matters.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Act as the HR partner of reference for managers within your scope, providing coaching and HR guidance on employee-related decisions.
• Challenge managers on compensation positioning, performance management, and managerial practices.
• Partner with the business to anticipate HR needs and align people strategies with operational objectives.
• Lead organizational change initiatives, including reorganizations and team mergers.
• Independently manage complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary procedures and employment-law disputes, with Legal support as needed.
• Handle sensitive individual situations such as psychosocial risks, conflicts, and employee reports with sound judgment.
• Contribute to employee relations including CSE preparation and collective negotiations.
• Oversee the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding and internal mobility.
• Lead Talent Reviews and support annual and professional review campaigns with manager guidance and calibration.
• Contribute to HR practices implementation and provide HR data, trends, and alerts.

YOUR FUTURE TEAM

You will be part of a team of 20 people, working specifically alongside 2 other HRBPs and an HR Assistant. You will be immersed in a dynamic environment, interacting daily with technical teams and managers to support their growth. You will act as a trusted HR partner for managers, supporting them on people-related decisions, organizational changes, employee development, performance management, and complex individual situations.

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE

• Act as the HR partner of reference for managers within your scope, providing coaching, HR guidance, and support on employee-related decisions.
• Challenge managers constructively on compensation positioning, performance management, managerial practices, and other people's decisions.
• Partner with the business to anticipate HR needs and align people strategies with operational objectives.
• Lead organizational change initiatives, including reorganizations, changes in scope, and team mergers.
• Independently manage complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary procedures, mutual termination agreements, incapacity situations, and employment-law disputes, in collaboration with Legal when required.
• Handle sensitive individual situations such as psychosocial risks, conflicts, and employee reports with sound judgment and rigor.
• Contribute to employee relations, including CSE preparation, collective negotiations, and monitoring applicable collective agreements.
• Oversee the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and internal mobility to development and offboarding.
• Lead Talent Reviews and support annual and professional review campaigns, including manager guidance, calibration, and action-plan follow-up.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and implementation of HR practices and policies across your scope, while providing HR data, trends, and alerts.

ABOUT YOU

HARDSKILLS

• 5+ years of experience as an HRBP, with a significant portion spent in a Tech/Engineering environment.
• Strong command of French employment law, with the ability to independently manage complex disciplinary, legal, and employee relations matters.
• Proven experience leading Talent Reviews and performance management across a significant employee scope.
• Demonstrated experience supporting organizational change and transformation in a fast-growing environment.
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand operational challenges and align HR actions with business objectives.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.

SOFT SKILLS

• Natural authority and strong HR credibility when partnering with senior managers and demanding technical profiles.
• Managerial courage and the ability to challenge decisions, take clear positions, and handle difficult trade-offs.
• High emotional intelligence and perspective in complex situations.
• Strong autonomy, prioritization, and results orientation, with the ability to manage several topics simultaneously.
• Ability to quickly build trust with both employees and managers and adapt to different cultures and ways of working.
