Inria is seeking a Research Engineer specializing in Software Packaging with Guix for HPC in Bordeaux. This role involves designing and implementing packaging strategies for high-performance computing software libraries, with a focus on Guix.

The position requires a Master's degree, Engineer's degree, or PhD in computer science and offers a gross salary starting from 2,692 € per month. The position includes flexibility for teleworking and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Master's degree, Engineer's degree or PhD, beginner or confirmed (salary adjusted according to experience) in computer science.
• Good practice of Unix/Linux and system administration.
• Prior experience with collaborative free and open source software development is also welcome.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement the packaging and continuous integration strategy.
• Participate in the deployment and testing of the infrastructure.
• Organizing and conducting training sessions for scientists and developers.

Connaissances

Good practice of Unix/Linux and system administration

Good programming experience (C/C++, Python, or other languages)

Experience with build systems and version control systems

English proficiency and teamwork

Skills related to package management
