strong-bridge is seeking a Healthcare Business Analyst/Consultant to translate business needs into detailed requirements for healthcare applications in Richmond, Virginia. The role involves analyzing data to identify problems and collaborating across teams.

Travel 40-50% across the US East Coast may be required. The candidate will map CMS/state reporting needs, support test strategies, document AS-IS/TO-BE processes, and participate in JAD sessions.

Qualifications

• Experience in Healthcare Payor industry and latest trends.
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business processes and IT requirements.
• Knowledge in Claims Enrollment & Billing, Medicare/Medicaid reporting, HEDIS/Star.
• Data mapping, risk adjustment and BI know-how.
• Develops test strategies and documents tests.
• Document AS-IS and TO-BE processes; perform gap analysis.
• Conduct JAD sessions and support UAT.
• Prepare user docs and training materials.

Position:
Healthcare Business Analyst/Consultant

Job Description: Healthcare Business Consultant/Analyst translates business needs into clearly defined and documented detailed, high quality requirements and/or supplemental specifications for new applications or analyzes change requests/enhancements in existing applications. Analyzes data to determine business problems. The Consultant/Analyst works collaboratively within or outside the team to identify charge system weakness, to recommend changes and focused education. Will also ensure adherence to compliance policies and contracts. Knowledge and experience of Healthcare (Payor/Provider) industry along with go-getter attitude to drive business growth & excellent communication skills.

Job Location: Richmond, Virginia.

Travel: 40- 50% travel required in US East Coast depending on customer facing roles.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

• Knowledge and experience of Healthcare Payor industry & understanding of latest trends & innovation
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business processes and associated IT application requirements.
• Knowledge and experience in any one or more of the following core areas
  • Claims Enrollment & Billing platforms
  • Medicare & Medicaid state level reporting levels
  • Knowledge/Experience of HEDIS/Star Rating
  • Medical Record Retrieval/Provider Engagement Coordination
  • Risk Adjustment & Business Intelligence
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data formats, standards, and can map them to CMS and state level reporting needs.
• Develops and executes test strategies, plans, scenarios, and tracks resolution to identified defects.
• Defines and documents business and IT system processes. Models AS-IS and TO-BE processes.
• Conducts and facilitates JAD sessions to develop and coordinate the requirements, specifications, design, and testing efforts for medium to large projects.
• Analyzes business workflow and system needs for conversions and migrations; assists in data mapping.
• Conducts gap analysis and uses analytical skills to identify root cause and assist with problem management.
• Defines and develops test plan documentation to support system validation and/or User Acceptance Testing.
• Prepares high level user documentation and training materials.

Additional Skills:

• Process improvements & worked on requirement gathering tool such as JIRA etc.
• Moderate to high end personal computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
• Past use of any data base program such as MS Access is a plus
• Excellent written & spoken communication skills
• Links to blogs/articles published can be shared when applying
• Understanding of design thinking for collaborative workshops

Position does not offer relocation,pays up to $90K base salary + bonus with a comprehensive benefit package
