Job summary

SpaceLocker is seeking a Head of Engineering to structure and lead the technical team (hardware, electronics, embedded software, mechanics) in Toulouse, France. You will be the internal technical authority, bridging R&D and industrialization, and drive the team dynamics.

You will shape the architecture, arbitrate material and process choices, and steer production scale-up while collaborating with the CTO on the engineering roadmap.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams in aerospace.
• Broad exposure to space hardware, avionics, and embedded software.
• Experience shaping architecture and selecting components and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team (hardware, electronics, embedded software, mechanics).
• Act as the team’s technical reference, arbitrate architecture and component choices.
• Drive the scale-up of production and industrialization capabilities.
• Maintain rigor across specification, design and AIV activities.
• Own the engineering product roadmap in collaboration with the CTO.
• Structure product line management with an end-to-end system vision.
• Participate in HR reviews and technical recruiting within the engineering team.
• Help unblock critical technical issues to maintain momentum.
