L‑Acoustics in Marcoussis, France, seeks a Head of Industrialization, Mechanical to lead product industrialization between R&D and production across multiple plants in Europe. You will guide designers, manage pre-production builds, drive cost-aware manufacturing solutions, and ensure standards with a strong leadership mindset and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineer in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years in a medium- to high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical engineering expertise with CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA or equivalent).

• Fluent in English.
• Proven project management capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Participate in product design and development, guiding designers to effective technologies and manufacturing solutions.
• Analyze engineering changes for feasibility, cost, and industrialization requirements; consider manufacturing constraints.
• Drive industrialization decisions across technologies, processes, and materials (metal, wood, plastics, etc.).
• Produce component specifications and technical requirements.
• Monitor industry developments and manufacturing equipment used by suppliers.
• Lead industrialization activities and utilize PAQD, Risk Analysis, FMEA, DVI, BOM routing.
• Manage pre-production builds (Lot 0/Lot 1) and support sites during pre-series production.
• Deploy new standards and best practices; resolve mechanical engineering issues.
• Manage subcontractors via supplier audits and continuous improvement.
• Lead cost, quality, and delivery objectives.

The Industrialization Department acts as the bridge between our R&D teams and our manufacturing operations (five plants located in the Paris region, Alsace, and Germany). It plays a key role in the development and production of exceptionally high‑quality products, managing a portfolio of over 2,000 component references and 1,200 finished product references.

As part of this dynamic environment, we are looking for our future Head of Industrialization, Mechanical.

Supported by a team of six Product Industrialization Drafters , you will contribute to the development of new products and assess their technical feasibility. Acting as a key interface between the R&D and Production teams, you will lead the industrialization of new products and define the technical solutions associated with these projects.

Technical Contribution to Product Definition

• Participate in product design and development activities, guiding designers towards the most effective technologies and manufacturing solutions.
• Analyse engineering changes in terms of feasibility, component cost, and industrialization requirements, ensuring manufacturing constraints are considered in both product and process definitions.
• Drive industrialization decisions relating to technologies, processes, and materials across a broad range of manufacturing methods, including metal, wood, plastics, and more.
• Produce component specifications and technical requirements.
• Monitor industry developments and maintain awareness of manufacturing processes and associated equipment used by suppliers.

Industrialization Process Management

• Lead industrialization activities and ensure the effective use of associated tools and methodologies (PAQD, Risk Analysis, FMEA, DVI, routing creation and transfer, Bills of Materials, etc.).
• Manage pre‑production builds (Lot 0 and Lot 1) and support manufacturing sites during pre‑series production phases.
• Ensure the deployment and implementation of new standards and best practices.
• Resolve technical issues related to mechanical engineering and manufacturing.
• Manage subcontractors through supplier audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead actions to ensure cost, quality, and delivery objectives are achieved.

Profile

• Degree-qualified Engineer, ideally with a background in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience within a medium- to high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical engineering expertise and practical experience with mechanical CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent.
• A collaborative team player with strong leadership skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to drive change.
• Fluent in English.
• Proven project management capabilities.
