JACIR – a COFINAIR Group company with 5 production sites in France, Germany, and Italy, is seeking a Head of Design Office at its Martin-Eglise site to lead the Design Office and ensure high-quality studies aligned with deadlines.

The role calls for strong organizational and leadership skills, extensive SolidWorks experience, and proficiency in VBA in Excel. Travel twice monthly is expected; English is a valuable asset. This is a permanent contract in a technical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Management or a technical field with 10+ years in a similar role, or a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years’ experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (notably VBA in Excel) and SolidWorks is essential.
• Fluent English is a significant asset; travel is required (twice a month).

Responsabilités

• Provide supervision and organization of the Design Office to guarantee study quality and deadlines.
• Act as main point of contact for BE/BM/Production/QHSE/Commerce/DT.
• Participate in contract reviews before order launch.
• Manage activity schedule within engineering in relation to production schedule.
• Supervise mechanical design projects in SolidWorks and support complex issues.
• Manage Standards library and design tools.
• Prepare internal and client documentation.
• Supervise specific projects until completion.
• Provide intra- and inter-departmental technical support.
• Validate files after the design phase.
• Manage site measurements and design points.

Head of Design Office (M/F) – Permanent Contract

General Missions:

Within the Technical department, your main responsibilities will be:

• To provide supervision and organization of the Design Office to guarantee the quality of studies and adherence to deadlines.
• To be the main point of contact for the various internal departments (BE/BM/Production/QHSE / Commerce / DT).
• Participate in contract reviews before order launch
• Manage and monitor the activity schedule within the engineering department in relation to the production schedule.
• Ensuring the relevance of technical choices, you supervise mechanical design projects on SolidWorks and provide support on complex issues.
• Manage the Standards library and design tools
• Prepare internal and client documentation
• Supervise specific projects until completion.
• Provide intra- and inter-departmental technical support.
• Validate the files after the design phase
• Manage site measurements and design points.

You are known for your organizational skills, initiative, team spirit, and strong interpersonal skills. You are able to communicate effectively with a variety of people and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.

Your background:

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3) in Management and/or a technical field, with over 10 years of experience in a similar role, or a Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly VBA in Excel) and SolidWorks skills are essential.
Fluency in English would be a significant asset.
Travel will be required (twice a month).
