Surprise Paris, a daring French brand, seeks a head stylist in Paris to lead the style department across Knitwear, Woven, Denim, and Cut & Sew. You will manage the full design process from concept to production and create technical specs for suppliers.

You will organize fittings, iterate on prototypes, and benchmark competitors while reporting directly to the founder & CEO and the Creative Director. This is a fast-growing role with great creative freedom.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to stand-out creatively.
• Good sketching skills with understanding of volumes, shapes, colors, fabrics and yarn makers.
• Understand technical specs and requirements from factories (yarn counts, GG…).
• Excellent communication skills in English and French.
• Previous experience as a stylist in a similar role is a must.

• Propose new emerging trends, details and potential creative collaborations.
• Manage all design process from research to yarn/fabric selection.

As our head stylist, you will play a crucial role by:

• Creating compelling collections (Knitwear, Woven, Denim, Cut&Sewn), following the brand’s values and DNA
• Proposing new emerging trends, details and potential creative collaborations
• Managing all the design process from research stage to yarn/fabric selection
• Expressing your creative skills from drawings into production
• Creating technical specs for suppliers
• Organizing fittings, iterating on successive prototypes, up to SMS
• Doing constant research and competitive benchmark

You will be assisted by the merchandising & marketing team, and report directly to our founder & CEO + our creative Director.
