Jobgether SRL seeks a Head of Data Practitioner to lead data strategy and transformation initiatives for private equity-backed engagements. You will manage senior client relationships, shape data platforms, governance, and AI enablement, and drive multi-workstream delivery across Europe.

The role requires executive presence, deep data expertise, and the ability to translate complex data challenges into actionable plans with measurable value creation.

Qualifications

• Experience at a director/associate director or senior consultant level leading complex data engagements.
• Strong consulting capabilities in strategy, digital, data, or transformation.
• Deep expertise in data strategy, modern data platforms, governance, analytics, or AI enablement.
• Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems and lead teams to recommendations.
• Credibility with C-level executives (CDOs, CTOs, CIOs, CEOs).

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Data Practitioner based in France.

This is a senior consulting leadership role focused on helping private equity investors and portfolio companies turn data opportunities into measurable business outcomes. You will lead complex data engagements from strategic diagnosis through transformation planning and practical execution. The role combines deep expertise in data strategy and modern data platforms with strong commercial judgment and executive-level communication. You will build trusted relationships with senior technology and business leaders while shaping data strategies, operating models, investment priorities, and delivery roadmaps. You will translate complex data challenges into clear recommendations and actionable plans that support value creation. The position is fully remote from anywhere in Europe, offering an international and collaborative environment with exposure to high-impact transformation initiatives.

• Own senior client relationships across data engagements, building trusted partnerships with CDOs, CTOs, CIOs, and other executive stakeholders.
• Lead the development of data strategies that connect business priorities and value-creation opportunities with target data capabilities, technology choices, operating models, and delivery roadmaps.
• Lead complex data transformation initiatives from initial diagnosis through implementation planning, including data-platform modernisation, data governance, data quality, data products, analytics, and AI enablement.
• Structure ambiguous data and business challenges by defining key questions, developing workplans, managing workstreams, and maintaining focus on the issues with the greatest impact.
• Develop compelling executive-level narratives that bring together analysis, stakeholder input, and specialist perspectives into clear recommendations and decisions.
• Bridge commercial, business, technology, and data perspectives to ensure recommendations reflect business priorities, technical realities, architectural considerations, delivery feasibility, and execution risks.
• Connect data initiatives to value-creation economics, including opportunity sizing, business cases, investment requirements, benefits, dependencies, and strategic trade-offs.
• Challenge assumptions, pressure-test recommendations, and identify where specialist expertise is required across data engineering, architecture, governance, analytics, AI, and transformation.
• Drive engagements beyond analysis by establishing prioritised actions, accountable delivery plans, and practical pathways from strategy to execution.

Requirements

• Experience at a level comparable to a high-performing consulting Director, Associate Director, or Senior Consultant, with a proven record of leading complex data engagements and managing senior client relationships.
• Strong consulting capabilities, ideally gained within a leading strategy, digital, data, or transformation consultancy, or through comparable high-stakes advisory and transformation environments.
• Deep expertise in data strategy and transformation, with practical experience across modern data platforms, data architecture, governance, data quality, data products, analytics, or AI enablement.
• Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous business and data problems, develop hypotheses, lead rigorous analysis, manage teams, and turn findings into compelling executive-level narratives.
• Strong credibility with senior executives and functional leaders, including CDOs, CTOs, CIOs, CEOs, and leaders across data, technology, product, and transformation.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience sizing opportunities, developing business cases, quantifying benefits, assessing investment requirements, and evaluating strategic trade-offs.
• Experience leading complex data programmes or transformations, with sufficient technical depth to challenge decisions around architecture, platforms, governance, operating models, and delivery approaches.
• Hands‑on leadership style, combining executive-level presence with the ability to guide analysis, challenge team thinking, and personally shape strategy and key deliverables.
• Practical, action‑oriented approach with strong collaboration, communication, curiosity, and the ability to operate effectively in complex and ambiguous environments.
