AQEMIA is building one of the most ambitious applications of AI with physics: as Head of AI, you will lead the ML research team, define the roadmap, and ensure execution across research, engineering, and scientific stakeholders.

You’ll guide architectures for molecular environments, combine ML with platform-level systems, and drive breakthroughs to accelerate drug design cycles across Paris and London.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in ML/AI or computational science.
• 5+ years leading scientific or technical teams with mentoring and roadmap ownership.
• Deep expertise in ML for complex, high-dimensional data and production-ready models.
• Strong Python and scientific ML ecosystem experience.
• Experience building predictive models for scientific domains (drug discovery, biology, physics, etc.).
• Ability to evaluate and improve model performance, efficiency, and robustness in production-adjacent environments.

Responsabilités

• Lead AQEMIA’s ML research organisation by mentoring and growing a ~15 person team of ML scientists and researchers.
• Own the predictive ML modeling roadmap by defining priorities and aligning with platform evolution.
• Drive frontier ML innovation with transformers, GNNs, diffusion models, and multimodal techniques.
• Scale high-throughput ML workflows with production-ready pipelines for large chemical spaces.
• Collaborate across disciplines to integrate ML insights into discovery workflows and decision-making.
• Ensure scientific rigor and model excellence with benchmarking and validation standards.
• Translate research into platform impact to accelerate drug design cycles.
