Loft Orbital is seeking an Harness Design Engineer to craft electrical harnesses for spacecraft, payloads, and test systems. You will translate schematics and interface data into production-ready harness designs and create 3D harness assemblies in Creo.
You will develop manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and harness documentation while supporting fabrication, inspection, integration, and testing. A hands-on, detail-focused engineer with CAD experience will thrive here.
Loft Orbital is redefining how satellites are built and deployed. We provide a fast, simple, and reliable path to orbit by combining standardized space vehicles, mission‑specific payload integration, and end‑to‑end mission execution.
As a Harness Design Engineer, you'll help design the electrical harnesses that connect spacecraft systems, avionics, payloads, and test equipment. You'll work across electrical systems, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and integration & test to turn electrical interfaces into reliable, production‑ready hardware.
This is a great opportunity for an earlier career candidate with a strong electrical engineering foundation and an interest in developing expertise in spacecraft harness design.
*Research shows that while men apply to jobs where they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other under‑represented people tend to only apply when they meet 100% of the qualifications. At Loft, we value respectful debate and people who aren't afraid to challenge assumptions. We strongly encourage you to apply, even if you don't check all the boxes.
