Jobtailor is seeking an electronics/embedded systems engineering student for a hands-on internship in Paris. You will take ownership of hardware tasks from concept to pre-series, translating product requirements into robust electronic architectures and production-ready PCBs.

You’ll develop firmware in C for ESP32/STM32, account for mechanical constraints, and autonomously bring up prototypes. The role emphasizes structured work, rigorous analysis, and clear documentation, with practical exposure

Qualifications

  • Engineering student specializing in electronics or embedded systems (gap year or final-year internship).
  • Able to design a complete PCB independently (schematic + layout).
  • Comfortable with embedded C (interrupt handling, I2C, SPI, UART, debugging).
  • Hands-on hardware prototyping experience (Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, etc.).
  • Understanding of industrialization basics (BOM structuring, DFM, small production runs).
  • Structured, rigorous, capable of root‑cause analysis.
  • Strong ability to learn and work autonomously.
  • Nice to have: Experience in a robotics club, DIY projects, or 3D printing.

Responsabilités

  • Design production-ready multi-layer schematics and PCBs with zero critical errors.
  • Develop structured embedded firmware in C (ESP32, STM32, Arduino-class).
  • Incorporate mechanical constraints from the design phase.
  • Assemble, solder, debug, and bring up prototypes independently.
  • Design test benches.
  • Prepare a pre-series (~10 units): BOM stability, supplier files, manufacturability.
  • Produce clear and reusable documentation.
