The Neurocenter Magendie is a behavioral neuroscience institute including 11 teams dedicated to the study of brain functions in health and disease. We are seeking a high profile, dynamic and innovative researcher to integrate our community. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the application of cutting edge computational methods to understand the brain mechanisms (at the cellular, circuits and/or behavioral levels) associated with psychiatric disorders. This position requires competence in modeling complex systems and a strong ability to translate these models into biologically relevant hypotheses about the physiological and pathological mechanisms of mental processes.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement relevant computational models relative to specific behaviors and their dysfunction in psychiatric contexts.
Collaborate with neurobiologists (at the cellular, circuits and/or behavioral levels) to integrate experimental data and enhance the understanding of the biological bases of normal and pathological behaviors.
Required Qualifications:
PhD or equivalent experience in neuroscience, computer science, engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in computational modeling and/or analysis of complex biological systems, integrating state of the art tools such as machine and deep learning approaches.
Experience in managing biological databases and statistical skills.
