GCA group is looking for a Group Financial Reporting Manager to join its Aix en Provence based Group Finance team. The purpose of this role is to lead the production and review of monthly management accounts, the production of annual IFRS financial statements and the management of the annual audit under IAS within the required timelines and lead/assist with ad hoc projects at Group level.
The Group operates in several international locations. This role will liaise with local controllers in a distributed global finance team to manage the delivery of financial reporting in line with monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines. The Group has a number of different sites and this role will require management of the teams and reporting from other finance team globally.
The successful candidate must have a solid financial reporting background under IFRS and consistently keep up to date with new IFRS and company law requirements. Apart from his/her education and experience, he/she must be a team player and able to work on his/her own initiative and under time pressure.
He/she must ensure that financial reports are accurately and timely prepared to add the maximum value to the Group to facilitate the success of the business.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to Group Financial Controller and assist in board and shareholders’ presentation, due diligence for fundraising and investors & lenders reporting including loan covenant compliance assessment and reporting.
- Responsible for group multicurrency consolidation in accordance with IFRS and provide guidance to financial controllers on accounting treatment for new processes and application of new accounting standards and amendments to existing standards to align with group policies and procedures.
- Preparation of technical accounting calculations (e.g. fair value calculation of financial liabilities, consolidated tax workings, cash flow statements, bad debts calculation, etc.) for annual reporting under IFRS.
- Review the individual management accounts submission from entities across the group for consolidation and against budget.
- Overseeing month-end close process of group entities and ensure month-end/quarter-end and year-end reports are completed accurately and timely.
- Work with group entities’ financial controllers on process simplification/improvements and global KPI measures.
- Primary contact person for external audit of the group consolidated financial statements and review balance sheet reconciliations and audit package for annual statutory audit.
- Prepare the group consolidated financial statements.
- Provide accounting, tax and technical guidance to Financial Reporting team and other finance staff involve in the budgeting, consolidation process, preparation of management accounts and statutory accounts.
- Lead transfer pricing policy implementation of GCA Group entities in coordination with professional tax advisor and local teams and provide recommendations on transfer pricing process improvements across the group.
- Lead process improvements initiatives throughout the finance control function.
- Manage other ad hoc projects as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, experience in big 4 audit firms a plus
- 5+ years of professional experience with Consolidation/CPM applications
- Robust experience in preparation of full IFRS financial statements
- Robust experience in preparation and review of monthly management accounts against budget and prior year, and reviewing management accounts of subsidiaries
- Experience with ERP systems preferred i.e. Microsoft Dynamics AX, Oracle Financial Consolidation tool (FCCS) and high level of proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with cultural awareness for dealing with different nationalities
- Ability to work with and influence people at all levels in the organisation

- Ability to work on their own initiative and confidence in dealing with senior management
Proficiency in English (professional language), Portuguese and/or Spanish would be a plus
