Job summary

CATL is seeking an experienced Grid Manager in Paris to own end-to-end grid interconnection, compliance and integration for utility-scale BESS projects. You will lead interactions with TSOs/DSOs and utilities, drive interconnection strategy through COD, and coordinate across engineering, legal and commercial teams.

The role requires strong power systems knowledge, stakeholder management, and experience delivering grid connection projects from origination to energisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems; Master’s a plus.
• 5–7 years experience in grid interconnection for utility-scale assets, preferably BESS.
• Proven ability to lead interconnection processes with TSOs/DSOs and utilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead grid interconnection activities with utilities, TSOs and DSOs for utility-scale BESS assets.
• Evaluate grid connection offers, negotiate terms and assess required network reinforcements.
• Oversee power system studies (load flow, short circuit, harmonics, voltage stability) for storage facilities.
• Coordinate with external power system consultants, define scope and ensure timely deliverables.
• Ensure BESS design and controls comply with local grid codes and interconnection standards.
• Interface with OEMs to align control functions with grid operator requirements.
