Voodoo is seeking a backend engineer to design and build the server‑side foundation for Draft Showdown, shifting game logic to the server and ensuring competitive PvP with cheat safeguards.

You will work closely with client engineers and game designers, shipping APIs and player state management, while scaling to millions of users. Paris-based role with relocation support and a focus on Golang backend development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals.
• Extreme fluency in Golang (professional environment).
• Mastery of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Background in high-scale systems.
• Experience in cross-functional agile teams.
• Willing to relocate to Paris.

Responsabilités

• Build server‑side validation for metagame (currency, upgrades, rewards).
• Move toward server authority for competitive features.
• Implement matchmaking and cheat-detection safeguards.
• Design APIs and player state management for Unity client integration.
• Collaborate with client engineers and game designers across feature design to delivery.
