Job summary

Infinite Orbits in Toulouse seeks a motivated GNC Engineer to advance our Rendezvous solution. You will contribute to navigation algorithms, GNC verification, and ConOps development for autonomous space servicing.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in GNC/AOCS systems within the aerospace sector, particularly in spacecraft or satellite operations.
• Excellent programming skills, with experience in MATLAB and Simulink.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external partners.
• Proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Refinement of state-of-the-art Navigation algorithms.
• Development of Collision Avoidance Mode algorithms.
• Integration of algorithms into the overall state machine architecture and align with system parameters (sensors, actuators, and computers).
• Sensitivity analysis to define the performance of the GNC algorithms.
• Actively participate in the definition of Rendezvous ConOps (Concept of Operations) and Safety Concepts, including Failure Detection, Isolation, and Recovery (FDIR) strategies.
• Support the development and execution of GNC Validation & Verification processes to ensure the reliability and efficacy of the Rendezvous solution.
