Strativ Group seeks a dedicated GNC lead to own flight control for unmanned vehicles in a fast-growing aerospace startup near Paris. You will model dynamics, design robust controllers and validate state estimation while coordinating flight-test campaigns to refine systems.

The role emphasizes integrating GNC with embedded software, ensuring safety cases and regulator-facing documentation, with fast decision-making in a hands-on team.

Competenze

• 5+ years of professional GNC experience in drones, aerospace or automotive.
• Experience on a team that took a drone or aerospace product through to market.
• Strong grounding in control theory and estimation (EKF, PID, LQR/MPC).
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and Python, plus C/C++ for embedded implementation.
• Familiarity with fault-tolerant design and safety or regulatory assurance.

A fast-growing startup in the Greater Paris region places themselves in the Aerospace industry. Their team is small, technical and focused on shipping real hardware that flies. They're growing the engineering team and looking for someone to take ownership of GNC.

The role

You’ll lead Guidance, Navigation and Control for our unmanned vehicles. The goal is dependable pilotless operation across varied conditions, backed by the evidence needed to satisfy regulators.

What you’ll do

• Model vehicle dynamics and build simulation environments
• Design, tune and validate controllers and guidance laws, with a focus on robustness to disturbances
• Develop state estimation and sensor fusion, including handling degraded or failed sensors
• Plan and run flight-test campaigns, and use the data to refine models and controllers
• Implement GNC software and integrate it with embedded systems
• Contribute to safety cases and technical documentation for regulatory approval

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of professional GNC experience in drones, aerospace or automotive
• Experience on a team that took a drone or aerospace product through to market
