Job Description

Location: Aimargues

Segment: Royal Canin

Contract Type: Permanent

Royal Canin Regulatory Affairs (RA) is evolving to become more agile, efficient, and forward‑looking, enabling our teams to navigate an increasingly complex regulatory environment with confidence and speed. Our ambition is to continuously raise the bar in how we manage compliance, knowledge, and ways of working across the business.

In this role, you will help shape the systems, tools, and processes that make this vision possible. You will connect data, people, and best practices to empower Regulatory teams worldwide to deliver compliance with consistency, clarity, and impact.

What are we looking for?
  • You hold a Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical or Chemical Engineering, Food Industry Engineering, or Data Science.
  • You bring 1 to 3 years of experience, ideally gained through a strong apprenticeship or first role in a regulated industry (food, feed, pharma, life sciences, etc.).
  • You are fluent in English, as you’ll collaborate daily with global teams; any additional language is a plus.
  • You are comfortable with collaborative and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Smartsheet) and curious to explore new digital solutions.
  • You are organized, proactive, and able to manage recurring tasks efficiently while keeping strong communication across teams and cultures.
  • You are open‑minded, eager to challenge the status quo, and ready to support the implementation of smarter, more efficient processes in Compliance & Quality.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Knowledge management
  • Structure and maintain collaborative platforms (e.g., MS Teams, MyMarsU, SharePoint) to ensure that reliable and up‑to‑date information is easily accessible to all Regulatory associates.
  • Oversee the Royal Canin Horizon Scanning process, ensuring alignment and collaboration with Corporate SRA.
  • Maintain and evolve the global frameworks that structure the Regulatory function, including the organization chart, meeting governance, and key roles & responsibilities.
Capabilities building
  • Coordinate onboarding and training programs, ensuring easy access to all learning materials.
  • Facilitate the rollout of technical and soft skills training for Regulatory associates. Contribute to the development of new training content (e-learnings, workshops, etc.) related to RA processes and Ways of Working — from selecting external partners to ensuring compliance with Corporate Guidelines and benchmarking best practices within and outside Mars.
Continuous improvement
  • Measure and report KPIs and metrics that reflect the efficiency and effectiveness of RA processes, tools, and programs.
  • Support Quality Management Reviews, prepare for audits, and follow up on related action plans.
  • Monitor and report progress on risk mitigation measures and CAPAs within the Regulatory Risk Management Program.
  • Lead selected Continuous Improvement projects within Regulatory Affairs, driving better efficiency and collaboration.
Team operations
  • Apply Indirect Purchasing Governance within Regulatory Affairs; create and close purchase orders and ensure supplier documentation compliance.
  • Support budget tracking and control for the RA function.
  • Coordinate Regulatory Affairs Community calls and support the organization of global team gatherings.
What can you expect from Mars?

At Mars, we believe in a relationship of mutual trust, dignity and respect between our company and Associates that is more meaningful than the standard employer/employee relationship.

As Associates, we can expect to be respected, supported and valued as individuals, to be treated fairly and equitably.

The opportunity to learn and develop, taking charge of your own career across Mars.

You will work in a multicultural environment (more than 40 nationalities) and where your dog will be welcomed by more than 100 other Associates’ dogs at the office!

You will work in a unique campus, which gathers more than 800 Associates working for : the international HQ, the French subsidiary, two laboratories, a kennel and a cattery with more than 200 cats & dogs, and finally the most important factory of the Royal Canin group.
