Job summary

Busch Vacuum Solutions recherche un Responsable Transformation IA Production Globale pour piloter des cas d’usage IA dans son réseau de production international. Vous liez défis concrets des sites de production à des technologies IA adaptées et les transformez en solutions évolutives et mesurables.

En collaboration avec Production, IT et partenaires externes, vous guidez les usages et les agents IA de l’idée à la mise en œuvre et au déploiement.

Qualifications

• Expérience pratique en ML, DL et IA générative en milieu industriel.
• Capacité à traduire des besoins production en solutions techniques et roadmaps mesurables.
• Maîtrise des environnements cloud et des plateformes AI.

Responsibilities

• Définir et faire évoluer la feuille de route IA globale pour la Production.
• Identifier et prioriser des cas d’usage IA en production et intralogistique.
• Conduire l’implémentation des solutions IA de la conception au déploiement.
• Assurer la conformité et la réutilisabilité des solutions à l’échelle mondiale.

In short

As Global Production AI Transformation Lead, you make Artificial Intelligence usable across our global production network. You connect concrete challenges from our production sites with suitable AI technologies and turn them into scalable solutions that deliver measurable value.

Together with Production, IT, Local Digitalization Experts and external partners, you guide AI use cases and AI agents from the initial idea through validation and implementation to rollout. At the same time, you establish standards and enable the sites to reuse successful solutions securely and sustainably.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Expected of all employees

AI Strategy and Use Case Portfolio

• Define and continuously develop the global AI roadmap for Production.
• Identify, assess and prioritize AI use cases in production, assembly, quality, intralogistics and production-related functions.
• Systematically assess business value, data availability, technical feasibility, integration effort, security, governance, resource requirements and the operating model.

AI Solutions and Rollout

• Guide AI solutions and AI agents from problem definition through prototyping and validation to productive deployment.
• Design, develop and validate AI solutions and AI agents hands-on using modern AI platforms and development frameworks, creating solutions that can be scaled across the global production network.
• Ensure scalable solution approaches, reusability and a reliable transition from pilot to operation.
• Coordinate technology and implementation partners and prepare decisions transparently.

Enablement, Standards and Governance

• Enable Local Digitalization Experts and Key Users through workshops, guidelines, training and practical support.
• Establish standards for Responsible AI, documentation, quality assurance, lifecycle management and reuse.
• Make adoption, progress and realized business value transparent through suitable KPIs.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Act as the connecting interface between Production, IT, Security, Data Engineering and external technology partners.
• Promote knowledge and best-practice sharing across sites and assess relevant market and technology trends for the production network.

Profile

Functional Competencies

• Experience in ML, deep learning, Python, TensorFlow, Generative AI, ideally applied in an industrial environment.
• Experience with cloud workflows, e.g. on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience with programming (Python), LLM Integration, object-oriented and functional design principles
• Good understanding of modern AI technologies, agentic solutions, cloud platforms, Responsible AI and governance principles.

Methodological Competencies

• Translate production requirements into viable technical solutions, prioritized roadmaps and measurable business value.
• Verify that expected benefits are delivered and embed learnings for future projects
• Select and apply Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall approaches based on context and constraints.

Leadership and Interpersonal Competencies

• Ability to provide functional leadership and to convince and enable different target groups.
• Drive hands-on change on the shop floor and influence without formal authority
• Clear communication, strong collaboration and enthusiasm for building an international community.
• Build trust and gain buy-in across hierarchies and regions.
• Take responsibility for outcomes and maintain integrity in handling sensitive information

Other Requirements

• University degree, for example in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems or a comparable field
• Excellent English skills; additional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to our global production sites.
