Job summary

Verallia seeks a Hot End Director to lead the global technical strategy for forming equipment and IS machines, reporting to the Group Technical & R&D Director. Location: Chalon-sur-Saône, France, with ~30%–50% travel.

You will manage a team of international experts, drive EHS excellence, and advance CAPEX projects and standards across 34 plants, enabling operational performance and innovation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in glass manufacturing, with forming and IS machine technologies.
• Proven track record leading international technical teams and projects.
• Strong expertise in industrial equipment, processes, and operational excellence.
• Ability to define technical standards and manage suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Define and deploy the Hot End technical strategy across 34 plants.
• Lead international technical networks and establish standards and best practices.
• Manage R&D programs, CAPEX projects related to IS machines and forming tech.
• Support divisions with technical expertise and performance improvement.
• Develop innovative technologies such as forming simulation and lightweighting.
• Drive safety, compliance and supplier qualification.
