Job description

We are supporting an established international organisation with the appointment of a senior leader to oversee its people technology, HR systems and workforce analytics capabilities.

This is an opportunity for someone who understands both the technical and operational sides of HR. The successful candidate will play an important role in improving how people information is managed, how HR services are delivered and how technology supports decision-making across a complex international business.

The position requires a leader who can move comfortably between strategy and execution, bringing together technology, processes, data and people to deliver measurable improvements.

The Opportunity

You will take responsibility for the direction, performance and continued development of the organisation's HR technology environment, working with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions and international markets.

The remit includes enterprise HR systems, data quality, reporting capabilities, systems integration and major improvement programmes.

A significant part of the role will involve identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve the employee and manager experience, and provide business leaders with more meaningful workforce information.

You will also lead an international team, oversee external technology partners and ensure that investments in HR systems deliver practical business value.

Areas of Responsibility
  • Establish priorities and a long-term development plan for enterprise HR applications.
  • Oversee the performance, functionality and continuous improvement of core HR systems.
  • Work with technology teams on integrations, system enhancements, upgrades and new functionality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual processes and create a more consistent user experience.
  • Ensure systems support the operational requirements of different markets and business functions.
Workforce Data & Analytics
  • Strengthen the organisation's ability to use workforce data for business planning and decision-making.
  • Develop reporting capabilities that provide clear visibility of key people metrics and trends.
  • Improve data accuracy, consistency and accessibility across HR systems.
  • Support the introduction of appropriate automation, advanced analytics and emerging technology.
  • Work with HR and business leaders to translate workforce information into useful commercial and operational insights.
Transformation & Delivery
  • Lead major HR technology initiatives from initial planning through implementation and adoption.
  • Evaluate existing processes and recommend practical improvements.
  • Coordinate testing, training, communication and change management activities.
  • Work across HR, Finance, Technology and other functions to ensure solutions are effective and sustainable.
  • Maintain appropriate standards for data protection, system controls and regulatory compliance.
Leadership & Business Partnership
  • Lead, develop and support an international team of HR systems and analytics professionals.
  • Build effective relationships with senior stakeholders across different countries and functions.
  • Manage external service providers, technology partners and project resources.
  • Oversee budgets, delivery priorities and service performance.
  • Balance longer-term transformation objectives with the day-to-day requirements of a global HR operation.
Candidate Profile

We are interested in speaking with senior HR technology professionals who have developed their careers within complex, internationally operating businesses.

You should offer:

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience across HR systems, HR technology, HR operations or related transformation functions.
  • Significant experience leading international teams and cross-functional programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise HR systems and their application across different business functions.
  • A track record of delivering HR systems implementations, integrations, upgrades or major improvement initiatives.
  • Broad understanding of HR processes, including employee administration, talent, compensation, performance management and payroll interfaces.
  • Experience developing workforce reporting, analytics or HR data management capabilities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
  • Experience managing technology partners, budgets and competing business priorities.
  • An understanding of data governance, privacy and information security within an international environment.
