Job summary

Globeducate International Schools in Paris seeks an Academic Coordinator to lead planning, development and implementation of the curriculum across its network. You will monitor progress and teaching quality to uphold high standards.

You will provide guidance to staff, coordinate meetings and professional development, analyse data to inform improvements, and collaborate with safeguarding and student support teams.

Qualifications

• University degree in Education or related subject is required.
• Master's degree in Education or Educational Leadership is desirable.
• Significant teaching experience with a track record of strong student outcomes.
• Previous leadership or coordination experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of curriculum development, assessment, and school improvement processes.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, development and implementation of the academic curriculum in alignment with the school's educational vision.
• Monitor student progress, academic performance and teaching quality to ensure high standards of learning and achievement.
• Provide guidance, mentoring and professional support to teaching staff.
• Coordinate academic meetings, curriculum reviews and professional development initiatives.
• Analyse assessment and achievement data to inform improvement strategies and targeted interventions.
• Promote effective teaching practices, innovation and continuous improvement across the academic programme.
• Collaborate with pastoral, inclusion, safeguarding and student support teams to ensure holistic student development.
• Support positive student engagement, wellbeing and a safe learning environment.
• Build strong and effective relationships with families, supporting meaningful home-school partnerships.
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are consistently applied and that concerns are appropriately reported.
• Contribute actively to whole-school initiatives, strategic projects and the ongoing development of the school.
