UNEP-CCC supports developing countries in transitioning to low-carbon development and integrating climate resilience. The Climate Transparency – Global Support Programme (CT-GSP), funded by GEF and co-implemented by UNEP and UNDP, assists countries in complying with the Paris Agreement's Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF).

Job purpose: This consultancy aims to provide technical assistance and capacity building to developing countries to enhance their capabilities in preparing accurate and comprehensive Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventories, particularly within the Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use (AFOLU) sector. Facilitate workshops on effective NDC tracking mechanisms, including data collection, analysis, and reporting. Conduct training sessions on the ETF, MPGs, clarifying reporting timelines, data transparency, and review processes. Proven international experience in technical review of national GHG inventories under UNFCCC is required. Experience in capacity‑building and delivering training programs on ETF, MPGs, and GHG inventories is desirable.

Skills: Expertise in GHG inventory methodologies, IPCC 2006 guidelines, and IPCC Inventory Software.
