IXO is engaging specialists to evaluate geoscientific interpretations that follow from processes, timescales and evidence. Your contribution is technical work: make the reasoning inspectable, identify substantive errors and provide evidence that supports a reliable assessment.

Remote assignments are scheduled by agreement, with no guaranteed weekly volume. Availability can include up to 10 hours per week depending on the track; IXO confirms timing before work.

Qualifications

• An advanced degree in geology, earth science or a related subject and at least two years in geoscience research, industry or fieldwork.
• Specialist depth in an area such as hydrology, sedimentology, climate science or geophysics, with clear scientific reasoning.
• PhD or professional-geologist licence; GIS, remote sensing or geospatial models; energy, mining, environmental assessment or government-survey experience.

Responsabilités

• Create cases that connect field observations, samples or model results to a geological interpretation.
• Write reference reasoning in the relevant earth-science specialty and assess model answers for physical validity.
• Explain uncertainty and identify conclusions that are fluent but unsupported by the geological or climate evidence.
