ITW Ramset, a division of ITW, is seeking a Heat Treat / Plating / Waste Treatment Technician to operate heat treat furnaces, plating lines and wastewater systems. The role emphasizes safety, quality and environmental compliance while supporting continuous production.

You will monitor processes, maintain equipment and records, and assist with preventive maintenance. This position offers growth in specialized manufacturing skills and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prefer 1+ year of manufacturing or related experience.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and procedures.
• Basic computer skills to complete production docs and inventory transactions.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Capable of standing long periods and lifting up to 60 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Operate heat treat furnaces, plating systems, wastewater equipment and related production gear.
• Monitor product quality and process parameters to meet specifications.
• Perform startup, shutdown, adjustments, preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Manage wastewater treatment and chemical handling per procedures and regs.
• Maintain production records, inventory transactions, and load docs.
• Support safe, team-oriented environment; operate forklifts and train others.

Job Description

The Heat Treat / Plating / Waste Treatment Technician at ITW Ramset, a division of ITW, plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our heat treat, plating, and wastewater treatment processes. In this role, you help deliver high-quality fasteners that meet customer specifications while supporting environmental compliance, operational uptime, and workplace safety. Success in this position means consistently producing quality parts, maintaining reliable equipment operation, and supporting continuous production needs.

What You Will Do

• Operate heat treat furnaces, plating systems, black dip equipment, wastewater treatment systems, evaporators, and related production equipment.
• Monitor product quality and process parameters to ensure fasteners meet Ramset specifications and customer requirements.
• Perform equipment start-up, shutdown, routine adjustments, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs to support uninterrupted operations.
• Treat wastewater and handle chemicals in accordance with company procedures and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate production records, inventory transactions, load documentation, and material usage information.
• Support a safe, team-oriented manufacturing environment by operating forklifts, training team members as needed, and participating in continuous improvement efforts.
• Additional Duties as assigned.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of manufacturing, production, industrial processing, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, operating procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately complete production documentation and inventory transactions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to perform physical job requirements, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Compensation Information

Compensation is competitive and based on experience and qualifications. The starting pay for this position is $22.00 per hour. Initial training may be conducted on the day shift. Upon successful completion of training and transition to the night shift, employees will receive an additional $2.00 per hour shift differential.
