The Computer Science Department aims to cover the entiredisciplinary scope of computer science across all CentraleSupélec programs. Itactively contributes to teaching in the CentraleSupélec engineering curriculum,the Master of Science and Bachelor programs of CentraleSupélec, the Master’sprograms of Université Paris-Saclay, as well as continuing education.
The Mathematics and Computer Science for Complexity andSystems Laboratory (MICS, EA4037) at CentraleSupélec focuses on the mathematical and computational analysis of complex systems and data, whetherthey arise from the life sciences, industry, social sciences, informationscience, or networks.
The successful candidate will join CentraleSupélec'sComputer Science Department and will contribute to teaching computer scienceacross all types of programs offered by CentraleSupélec (engineeringcurriculum, Master's and Bachelor's programs), with priority given to theDepartment's Bachelor programs in computer science. The ability to teach inEnglish to an international audience is essential.

Given the level of the position, the successful candidatewill be called upon to take on the role of Academic Coordinator of one ofCentraleSupélec's Bachelor's programs in computer science, in particular thejoint CentraleSupélec - BITS Pilani Bachelor's program in Computer Science& Artificial Intelligence. This dual-degree program, taught entirely inEnglish, follows a 2+2 format : the first two years take place on BITS Pilani'scampuses in India, and the last two years on CentraleSupélec's Paris-Saclaycampus. The successful candidate will be expected to develop ahigh-impact, internationally visible research activity in the field ofefficiency, scalability and sustainability of computing, and to play astructuring role within the host laboratory. As Professor, they will beexpected to build and lead a research activity, secure competitive funding(e.g. ANR, Horizon Europe / ERC, industrial partnerships), supervise doctoralstudents, and contribute to mentoring junior faculty.
We are seeking a senior researcher with extensive experiencein one or more of the following areas: design and adaptation of parallelalgorithms and algorithm-architecture matching to maximize efficiency inheterogeneous shared-memory environments (multi-core, GPU accelerators, edgecomputing) or emerging environments (TPU, FPGA, neuromorphic chips);large-scale deployment (scalability) and distributed systems (Cloud/HPC),including massive parallelization, memory management, fault tolerance, andlatency reduction for interconnected intelligent systems; sustainability, greencomputing, and energy efficiency. The successful candidate will have a proventrack record of relevant and original research contributions in these areas,combining a deep understanding of models, methods, and systems with a stronginterest in practical applications.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to developcollaborations within CentraleSupélec and the Université Paris-Saclayecosystem, as well as with the School's industrial partners (for example inaeronautics, defense and embedded systems). Initiating broadly definedcollaborative research projects, and developing international partnerships,including with the School's academic partners, will be an important part of therole.
