The Role

As a French ARPABET Phoneme Transcription Specialist, you will work with French audio clips requiring precise phonemic transcription. You will process large batches of long audio clips, typically one to two minutes each, using a web-based annotation tool.

The work includes word-level alignment, phoneme-level transcription, and accurate identification of reading errors and speech disfluencies. Your annotations will move through a peer quality-assurance loop before final acceptance.

What You'll Do

Requirements

This role requires native-level French and intermediate to expert proficiency with ARPABET phonemic transcription for French speech. Prior experience in phonetics or linguistics, ASR dataset transcription, phoneme-level labeling, or child-speech transcription is strongly preferred. You must pass a qualification quiz before receiving production batches.
