ZigZag Global Ltd is seeking a Freelance Operations Lead to cover France operations during a temporary leave. The role oversees Revenue and Growth Operations, CRM unification, and data governance. Part‑time (3 days/week) with 4 months duration, remote or Paris-based in France.

The candidate will arbitrate priorities, unblock execution, and ensure delivery against the France scope while coordinating with the UK team. Fluency in English and professional French are required.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced freelance operations professional to cover the France operations scope during the Director of Operations' temporary leave.

France operations sits at the intersection of Revenue and Growth Operations. The team is currently running a major CRM unification project between the France and UK entities, alongside continuous improvement of the revenue engine (lead management, pipeline structure, reporting and dashboards) and the deployment of ambitious outreach strategies to build pipeline for 2027.

This is a steering and facilitation mission, not a build-from-scratch one. The systems, rituals and roadmap are in place: the mission is to keep them moving, arbitrate priorities, unblock the team, and make sure nothing critical stalls over the coverage period.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Operational steering of the France Ops team
• Two team members Revenue Operations and Growth Operations remain autonomous on execution. The freelance provides the operational layer above them:
• Run the existing bi-weekly sprint cadence (planning, mid-sprint check) and deliver the business debrief Sales / CS performance) at each sprint.
• Arbitrate and prioritise the Ops project portfolio against company objectives.
• Review and challenge project proposals before they enter the roadmap.
• Unblock day-to-day execution and act as escalation point on operational trade-offs.
• Flag to the Country Manager anything requiring a decision outside the mission's mandate.
• 2. CRM unification project – France side
• Facilitate the France workstream of the HubSpot unification project, including workshops with the external agency.
• Act as the France counterpart in the alignment work with the UK team.
• Keep the project's decisions documented and its timeline visible to French leadership.
• 3. CRM & data governance
• Act as the reference point for arbitration on CRM data structure and definitions (account ownership rules, segmentation and routing logic, field definitions where ambiguity persists).
• Ensure the lead and pipeline management model (deal creation triggers, stage definitions, minimum deal value, lead object usage) is applied consistently and stays aligned with the UK model.
• 4. Growth operations
• Steer the growth roadmap and arbitrate what gets built, and when have enough hands-on command of the stack to keep campaigns running through absences and peaks.
• Bring an outside perspective on where we can improve our stack and overall flows for 2027.

What We're Looking For

• Must have:
• 6+ years in Revenue Operations, Business Operations or a comparable GTM operations role, ideally in B2B SaaS.
• Hands‑on CRM expertise (data model, pipelines, workflows, reporting) and experience with automation and enrichment tooling (n8n, Edges, Similarweb or similar).
• Fluent English: the role involves regular work with the UK team. Professional French required for the France scope.
• Managed complex and strategic projects including different stakeholders and different teams.
• Nice to have
• Experience running outbound or acquisition campaigns end to end.
• Experience in a multi‑market or post‑merger environment.

• The Ops team's cadence and priorities hold without leadership intervention.
• The CRM unification project stays on its timeline, with decisions documented. Leadership has clear visibility on operational status and risks throughout.
• On return from leave, the state of play is legible: nothing critical has been silently dropped.
