A leading pharmaceutical company seeks a Freelance Medical Science Liaison in South & West France. This role involves establishing relationships with KOLs, supporting clinical trial activities, and providing scientific insights in the field of Infectious Diseases. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs and possess an advanced degree in a relevant field. Fluency in French and English is required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, ideally in Infectious Disease.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial activities.
  • Strong understanding of infectious diseases in ICU patients.

EPM Scientific are currently partnered with a leading pharmaceutical company who are seeking a Freelance Medical Science Liaison to support their Infectious Disease studies in France. See a short summary below :

Project Overview
  • Therapeutic Area(s) : Infectious Disease & ICU
  • Location : South & West France
  • Contract : Freelance - 6 Month Initial Contract
  • Start Date : ASAP
  • Language Requirements : French, English
Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, clinical investigators, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Serve as a reliable source of unbiased, up-to-date scientific and medical information in infectious disease areas. Working with first-line antibiotics.
  • Collect and communicate strategic insights from scientific exchanges to inform research and commercial strategy.
  • Support clinical trial activities including site feasibility, initiation visits, and patient recruitment strategies.
  • Represent external expert perspectives internally and identify opportunities for collaborative research or strategic partnerships.
  • Apply strategic thinking and prioritization to maximize impact while ensuring compliance with all relevant medical affairs policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Strong experience (5+ years preferred) in Medical Affairs, ideally within Infectious Disease / Infectiology.
  • Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, or pharmacy.
  • Strong understanding of infectious diseases in ICU patients.
  • Ability to work independently in a freelance capacity, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Willingness to travel within France for field visits and scientific engagement.
