Ebury’s Paris office is seeking a senior Country Head of Credit Risk to lead and optimise France portfolio, oversee underwriting, and drive risk management across the credit lifecycle. You will liaise with lawyers on litigation when needed and collaborate with local leadership to maximize shareholder value.

The role requires deep expertise in credit risk, strong senior stakeholder collaboration, and the ability to navigate French regulatory and lending landscapes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years credit underwriting experience, preferably in SME space in France.
• Strong understanding of local accounting principles.
• Exposure to collections and litigation processes locally.
• Clear, structured, and concise communication style.
• Experience dealing directly with clients one-on-one.
• Understanding of local lending and basic Foreign Exchange products/services.
• Experience building and leading Credit Risk teams and frameworks.

Responsabilités

• Report to and support the Senior Global Credit Risk Management Team.
• Monitor and report portfolio performance (lines, exposure, overdue, pipeline, risks).
• Liaise with local regulatory authorities when needed.
• Perform and oversee detailed credit analyses for lending/finance solutions and FX exposure limits.
• Approve exposure limits within delegated authority matrix.
• Present analyses at Credit Committee meetings with senior management including C-Suite.
• Work with Front Office and Onboarding/Compliance for smooth client experience and clear decisions.
• Manage portfolio and monitor credit standing and risk vs. reward for Ebury.
• Assist with collections for overdue payments and communicate decisions with relevant parties.
• Proactively manage own pipeline and SLAs across the team.
• Collaborate with analysts and managers in other regions, share best practices.
• Seek to improve underwriting practices to enable efficiency and expansion into new jurisdictions.
