Lefty is seeking a seasoned QA Engineer to establish the QA function from the ground up, defining testing guidelines and an automation roadmap across multiple engineering squads. You will own functional testing, UAT, and release checklists, while wiring end-to-end and API tests into CI/CD pipelines.

The role emphasizes mentoring, risk-based prioritization, and clear communication in a fast-growing SaaS env.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA experience, including building a QA function from scratch.
• Strong manual/exploratory testing and bug reporting discipline.
• Hands-on with an end‑to‑end framework (Playwright, Cypress).
• API testing experience; comfortable with gRPC tooling.
• Able to read frontend (Angular) and backend (Java) code to reason about root cause.
• Experience wiring automated tests into CI/CD (GitLab CI) to gate releases.
• Zero-to-one builder—able to establish new processes where none exist.
• Pragmatic prioritizer, focusing on highest‑risk test areas.
• Direct communicator, raising quality risks clearly with evidence.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.

Responsabilités

• Define the test strategy first and design the automated-testing roadmap.
• Own functional testing and UAT; coordinate with stakeholders for major releases.
• Define the pre-deploy checklist and post-deploy smoke tests; document risks.
• Build automated test coverage for high-value flows and API-level tests.
• Mentor engineers to write more testable code and increase unit test coverage.
• Collaborate across multiple dev squads to align testing priorities with roadmaps.
