Prelude in Paris is seeking a dedicated Brand Marketer to define its brand voice and presence. As the first hire in this role, you'll collaborate closely with the founders to shape Prelude’s identity and drive engagement through content, social media, and events.
This hands-on position offers significant autonomy and requires experience in brand marketing, strong writing skills, and a genuine interest in developer-focused products. Join a dynamic team committed to innovation and high-quality outcomes.
Prelude is redefining how companies authenticate and onboard users - turning what's traditionally a cost center into a growth lever.
Our flagship product lets businesses send OTP codes with the best price-to-conversion ratio on the market, dynamically selecting the most effective channel in real time (optimized SMS, WhatsApp and more) while actively blocking spam and fraud that legacy providers miss.
Founded in 2022 by former Zenly team members who lived the pain of broken SMS authentication firsthand, we’re already serving fast‑growing companies across Europe and are expanding into the US.
But authentication is only the starting point—we’re building the platform for trust at scale, with an ambitious roadmap of market‑defining products ahead.
Today, we’re a team of 60 and growing, based in Paris, building products that power secure and high‑performance user onboarding for companies across the world. We believe small, highly skilled teams outperform large, fragmented organisations, and we are intentional about staying focused on impact, quality and speed.
We operate with a flat org structure and value in‑person collaboration, which helps ideas move faster, decisions stay grounded and teams take full ownership of what they build.
Care We care deeply about our customers, our teammates and the quality and reliability of what we ship.
Bias for Action We move fast, test in the real world and iterate quickly rather than over‑optimising in theory.
Ownership We take responsibility end‑to‑end, from identifying problems to delivering outcomes and learning from results.
We’re hiring our first dedicated Brand Marketer – there’s no playbook yet, and as the first hire in this position you’ll be the one writing it! You’ll own how Prelude presents itself to the world – brand voice, social presence, content, events and PR – all of the work that turns curious developers and founders into customers. You’ll also represent the company externally across different audiences.
This is a hands‑on role with a lot of autonomy, working directly with the founders and partnering closely with engineering, design and sales. The position reports to our co‑founder and CEO, Matias, and works closely with our Marketing Manager who will own performance marketing and SEO.
Frame our positioning and messaging, outlining Prelude’s tone of voice and identity.
Own Prelude’s voice (including the founders) across LinkedIn, X, Hacker News and other sites.
Turn product launches, customer wins and industry moments into on‑brand posts (personality is key), own our content calendar and ship consistently.
Run weekly experiments – posts, threads, replies, comments – and iterate based on what lands.
Partner with design to develop the site, decks, ads and swag.
Pitch Prelude as a speaker to priority events as well as international media across business, newsletters and influencers.
Own our events strategy and organisation end‑to‑end: founder dinners, hackathons, developer conferences, tracking ROI and reporting on outcomes.
Set goals with the founders and report on them weekly, bringing a commercial mindset to every channel decision.
Use AI tools to scale output – editing agents, asset generation and whatever else makes sense.
Experience in brand, growth or content marketing – ideally from B2B SaaS but we’re open‑minded and happy to consider candidates from B2C or agency.
Strong writing instincts across different formats – short‑form social, long‑form editorial, email and event copy.
Budget ownership and management.
Confidence speaking publicly and building media relationships, representing Prelude externally.
Experience planning and running events people actually remember.
A genuine interest in developer‑first products – you need to talk credibly to engineers and founders.
Operator energy, getting things done without waiting for permission.
Confidence using AI tools to increase your output.
Knowledge of or enthusiasm to learn about security, authentication or infrastructure.
A portfolio that proves it (social accounts you’ve grown, events you’ve made memorable).
