Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Fluid Dynamics and Convection Stability Physicist (PhD) for a remote contract engagement. You will tackle research-level problems to advance AI model reasoning and produce verifiable results documented in LaTeX, Python, and Jupyter.

The role requires a PhD in a related field, a publication record on convection stability, and strong written English (B2+). The assignment runs 8–10 weeks with an 10 hours per week commitment.

Qualifications

• PhD in fluid mechanics, applied mathematics, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Publishes convective stability work.
• 3–5 representative publications with verifiable record.

Position: Fluid Dynamics and Convection Stability Physicist (PhD)

Compensation: $80–$110/hour

Location: Remote

Duration: 8 to 10 weeks
